Reason to study physics: Although he majored in chemistry in his undergraduate, he learnt a lot about characteristic methods such as XPS, Raman, NMR spectrum during his research time. He is also interested in algebra and physics models, and determines to study physics in his graduate.

Reason to join Westlake University: The most significant reason is the deep love and solid determination to learn physics, while Westlake university provided him with the valuable chance. Just as Westlake university is shortly established, he started his study in physics just one year ago, with the hope to develop together with Westlake university. Another reason stands on the coincidence that Westlake university and Zhejiang university both locate in Hangzhou, which provides him with convenience for transport.

Reason to join ICP: Polariton establishes a bridge between solid state physics and optics in physics, which he regards as an excellent playground for studying physics. Besides, prof. Kavokin welcomed him warmly when he applied, who gave him a very positive impression.

With regards to prof. Kavokin: Prof. Kavokin has very kind personality and holds vast knowledge from solid state physics to optics even in quantum calculation and communication. He often gave valuable guidance to his students. Prof. Kavokin has many great attainments in scientific research. He opened the researches of photonic Tamm state, optical spin Hall effect and many so on. He also published the encyclopedic book in polaritonic field, Microcavity.

The BRICS Future Skills Camp was held in Moscow from November 9 to 17 in a remote and on-site manner with the support of Russian Federation of "World Skills Russia". More than 1000 participants, experts, representatives and observers from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa participated in the competition from the venues from their own nations. The competition has become one of the official activities within the framework of BRICS cooperation.

The BRIC Future Skills Camp aims to discover and develop future skills, and to build global network collaboration among partner countries in the field of education and technology development. The competition includes 19 future and transformational skills. The Future Skills Project aims to jointly develop new technologies and capabilities, test new solutions at events, and develop and implement advanced training programs for high-tech production and transition economies.

Introduction of Quantum Technology Contest

This task assumes the fulfillment of a full range of tasks on the formation of a stable distribution of a quantum key, using the transmission devices ("Alice") and the reception devices ("Bob") of quantum states of single photons. To properly start the operation of the device data system, it is necessary to form a quantum fiber optic channel and fully determine its parameters critical for the quantum key distribution.

For this purpose, the module A offers the welding of quantum channel optical fiber for its further use in the quantum key transmission. The purpose of module B is to assemble a two-pass fiber optic circuit with Plug & Play autocompensation on an optical platform. Then–in module C–the participants are invited to make an optical circuit for receiving and transmitting devices and to additionally calibrate it for the operation of quantum communication transceivers. Module D deals with operation of a quantum computer. Tasks include implementation of several algorithms. Implementation of programs and their launch are performed on real IBM quantum processors. Finally, in module E, the participants shall present the results of the quantum key distribution system setup.
